Soma Residences Dubai Islands: Quick Overview
Soma Residences is a 44-unit low-rise by Origami Development on Dubai Islands, built to a basement, ground, podium, six-floor, and roof structure. One to three-bedroom apartments and duplexes start from AED 1.7 million, on a 50/50 payment plan, with handover due Q3 2028.
Apartment Layouts and Design at Soma Residences
Unit sizes run from around 848 square feet for a one-bedroom up to roughly 1,609 square feet for the largest three-bedroom layouts, with two-bedroom units near 1,607 square feet. Design studio XBD Collective built the whole building around Mediterranean coastal references rather than the glass-and-steel maximalism common across Dubai Islands, using sun-bleached stone and sand-toned materials on the facade. Large windows, open floor plans, and natural ventilation take priority over decorative flourishes, giving the interiors a calmer, more restrained feel than most waterfront towers nearby. Private balconies extend the living space outward on most units, and duplex layouts among the three-bedroom homes add a second storey instead of one flat floor plate.
Wellness Amenities and Facilities at Soma Residences Dubai Islands
Soma Residences is enrolled to pursue WELL Gold Certification, a building standard measuring air quality, light, and layout for occupant health rather than the more common green-building metrics tied to energy use alone. That focus shows up in the amenity list: an infinity pool and a beach pool, a sunken lounge, a clubhouse terrace, a café with co-working space, a fully equipped gym, and dedicated female changing rooms with a sauna and steam room, a detail most nearby developments skip. Landscaped gardens and children's play areas sit alongside these wellness spaces, so the amenity list still covers family use rather than solo residents alone.

Location and Connectivity of Soma Residences at Dubai Islands
Sitting well within Dubai Islands, the development connects to Downtown Dubai, Deira, and Dubai International Airport along the same road network serving the rest of the archipelago. Beaches, marinas, hotels, and waterfront promenades sit within a short distance, giving residents island quiet without cutting them off from the mainland's business and retail districts. Major highways link the island directly to the wider city, keeping daily commutes manageable despite the more secluded setting, and nearby dining and shopping options mean residents rarely need to leave the island for an evening out.

Investment Potential of Soma Residences by Origami Development
Capping the whole project at just 44 homes is unusual for Dubai Islands, where most towers run into the hundreds of units, setting Soma apart from larger neighbouring launches. Entry pricing from AED 1.7 million on a straightforward 50/50 structure keeps the buy-in reasonable for a low-density address. Between the WELL Gold Certification pursuit and a design brief built around restraint rather than spectacle, Soma Residences is positioned for buyers who want quieter, wellness-oriented island living over the taller, denser stock that otherwise dominates Dubai Islands right now, and that scarcity should support resale demand as the island fills in later.
